Tai O Heritage Hotel Celebrated National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival with the Community
24 October 2025

Hong Kong's first UNESCO-awarded hotel, Tai O Heritage Hotel, celebrated the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival with the community with the well-received Tai O Night Boat Parade. Presented in collaboration with the Tai O Cultural Association in September and October 2025, the second year of the acclaimed experiential event attracted more than 2,200 visitors from Hong Kong and overseas to celebrate the special occasions in Hong Kong’s charming fishing village.

For the first time, AR (Augmented Reality) technology was incorporated, offering guests an innovative and enriched way to experience the cultural tapestry of Tai O.

Tai O Heritage Hotel also joined hands with the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society to host a charity day and served more than 50 underprivileged children and families to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a blissful occasion for reunion and one of the most important festivals on the Chinese calendar. Participants explored Tai O Heritage Hotel on docent tours led by volunteers, then rode on traditional sampans to experience the unique maritime traditions of Tai O.

Tai O Heritage Hotel representatives and volunteers also collaborated with the Tai O Rural Committee to present over 1,000 festive gifts to Tai O elderly members, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and spreading love and care in the neighbourhood.
